We will sail along the river Ebro on the boat Lo Roget, passing through one of the most spectacular river scenes of the Ribera d’Ebre, the Pas del Ase. In this small defile, the Ebro makes its way between mountains passing through unspoilt landscapes of great beauty. Accompanied by specialists of the Grup de Natura Freixe, we will get to know the spectacular geology and morphology of the river, as well as the vegetation and fauna which we will be observing throughout the journey. We will hear the murmuring of the water, we will observe and learn about nature, as well as the immense riverside woods and the abundant numbers of birds that live in them.
We will finish with an aperitif and a beer-tasting of Lutra. A craft beer very rooted in the land, thanks to its surprising ingredients: mint and liquorice.
The boat Lo Roget has a style similar to the river craft that, until a few decades ago, sailed along the river. Sailing is the means by which the history of river navigation along the River Ebro can be understood, and conveys to the visitor the period in which river craft and their boatmen were part of the usual landscape of the river.
